Our most important goal at ProtectOne is to provide innovative, chemical-free protection for the whole family against ticks, fleas and dust mites. Our products based on ultrasonic technology represent a significant innovation in this field because, in addition to providing safe protection against various parasites, their use can also help reduce the amount of toxic substances entering the soil and groundwater.
For years, we have closely followed developments in environmental awareness and sustainability and incorporated these principles into our product development. This has led, for example, to the introduction of our rechargeable product range, including products made with 50% recycled plastic, available since June 2021.
Environmental awareness and sustainability are not simply growing trends, but the only path we can take toward a more liveable future.
Years of planning led to the launch of our ProtectOne Earth project at the beginning of 2022. The goals of this large-scale programme include reducing plastic production and encouraging its reuse, reducing the use of chemicals, and developing innovative, more sustainable products.
By 2024, our goal was to manufacture at least 40% of our products from more sustainable materials, including recycled and largely biodegradable plastics, thereby reducing the amount of polycarbonate used in production by approximately one and a half tonnes per year.
We have held plastic-neutral certification since autumn 2023.
We also place particular emphasis on making our products environmentally conscious by keeping them chemical-free.
The philosophy behind the programme

Sustainability
Zero chemical emissions, with environmental protection at the heart of our approach.
Safety
Our chemical-free products can be used safely by everyone.
Environmental awareness
We follow sustainability and environmental principles throughout product design and development while continuously reducing the use of plastic.
Responsibility
Our suppliers share environmentally conscious values, and our products are packaged in FSC-certified packaging produced by a carbon-neutral printing partner.
Reducing our ecological footprint
We work with an environmentally conscious logistics provider for our shipments.
Plastic neutrality
We are committed to reducing plastic use and supporting the recovery of plastic waste from the environment.
Goals set and achieved
2021
- Tickless® Mini made with 50% recycled plastic.
2022
- Launch of the Tickless® Eco product range made from 100% biodegradable material.
- Our products are supplied in FSC-certified packaging produced by a carbon-neutral printing partner.
- GreenGage Award recognition for our sustainability efforts.
2023
- PLASTIC-NEUTRAL certification.
- Supporting rePurpose Global's impact project in India, which focuses on the collection and processing of low-value plastics.
2024
Throughout 2024, we participated in several initiatives organised by rePurpose Global.
April:
- We took part in the Great Himalayan Cleanup project organised for Earth Day.
- Approximately 4,500 kg (10,000 lbs) of plastic was collected.
- 539 volunteers participated, including waste warrior teams, school and university students, waste workers, village residents, as well as local authorities and organisations.
2025
- We continued to have our packaging produced by a printing partner working with FSC®-certified materials.
- We continued our collaboration with rePurpose Global and supported the plastic collection initiatives of the Saaf Samudra project.
- When developing new packaging solutions, we placed increasing emphasis on the use of glass, metal and paper-based materials, further reducing the role of plastic.
2026
- A significant proportion of our products are now supplied in paper-based packaging.
- With the exception of our ultrasonic devices, our pet-care products are supplied in paper-based outer packaging.
- Our collaboration with rePurpose Global has ended, but our environmentally conscious approach remains an important part of our product and packaging development decisions.
- We continue to explore new solutions and partnership opportunities that can help us further reduce our environmental impact and make our operations even more conscious.
